Lucy Austin, Holly Lovitt, Isabel Troniseck and Jessica Scheck, all aged 10, from Dunottar Reigate School for Girls wrote and performed in ‘The Blame Game’, which was entered in the Kids for Kids UK Film Competition. The film was directed by Jonathan Glendenning, pictured with the winners.
Judged by a panel of industry experts, ‘The Blame Game’ was screened at The British Film Institute at the South Bank in London on 26th October and won the International Jury Award. As a result, it will be screened at the MICE Children's Film Festival in Valencia, Spain, in February.
This is the first film that the talented youngsters have made through the Moviemakers drama and film club, established by actor, director and LAMDA Speech & drama teacher Charlie Watts.
Mr. Watts commented: “The festival was a fantastic opportunity for the girls involved to see their film on the professional big screen. I wish them every success with their international venture!”
