Dunottar Hosts Regional Heat of Prestigious Chemistry Competition

Dunottar was delighted to host a regional heat for the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Top of the Bench Competition, a prestigious national event designed to challenge and inspire young chemists.

The competition saw six schools enter teams of students from Years 9, 10 and 11, putting their practical, problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test. Participants took on a hands-on practical challenge alongside a demanding multiple-choice quiz, designed to stretch their knowledge beyond the standard curriculum.

It was a pleasure to welcome the teams to Dunottar and witness such enthusiasm and talent in action. Congratulations to all involved—a fantastic display of scientific curiosity and collaboration!
