Adventure Camp in the Brecon Beacons

8th November 24

Over the half term, pupils from Years 7 to 9 embarked on an exciting five-day Adventure Camp in the stunning Brecon Beacons, Wales. The camp was packed with activities that challenged our students and brought out their warrior characteristics in new settings.

The adventure began with hikes through the picturesque landscapes, where pupils explored the natural beauty of the area. They also ventured into the depths of caves, crawling through tight spaces beneath the surface and experiencing ‘true darkness’. Gorge walking provided a new challenge as pupils navigated through rocky streams and waterfalls.

One of the highlights was the night walk, where pupils experienced the magic of the Brecon Beacons under the stars. The adventure did not stop there! Pupils also enjoyed cooking pizzas on open fires, a fun way to end their stay.

Thank you to Mr. Roe and the staff who made this trip possible. We also extend our gratitude to our Sixth Form Young Leaders, whose support and guidance throughout the trip were invaluable, helping the younger pupils from start to finish. This Adventure Camp was a memorable experience for all, fostering teamwork, resilience and a love for the great outdoors.
