Acting Up Despite the Challenges

Despite the challenges this year presented, we opened our doors in the penultimate week of term, to a glorious production of the musical Sister Act.
Overcoming the numerous hurdles that have hindered the world of ‘live performance’ Dunottar pupils showed great tenacity and resilience, rehearsing in separate year-group bubbles before wowing (a limited) live audience with an inspired performance, whilst also streaming live to parents and family members at home.
‘I am incredibly proud of what our pupils and staff achieved this year. Our inclusive school musical is always a highlight in the annual school calendar, giving every pupil with an aspiration the chance to take part, whether performing on stage or playing a crucial support role as stage-hand, lighting or set designer. Sister Act was a wonderful example of what can be achieved, despite all the hurdles and restrictions, when you blend creativity with collaboration”.
