Year 5 Pathway Events

Choosing a secondary school is an exciting milestone for your child and now that you have secured their place with us, we want them to feel confident, familiar, and excited about the journey ahead.

Our Year 5 Pathway has been specially designed for children who have already accepted an offer to join our school, giving them the opportunity to stay connected with us throughout Year 5. As part of this pathway we are planning a series of relaxed, engaging, on‑site sessions, where your child will:

• Build confidence by getting to know the school environment gradually
• Make early friendships with other future Year 7s
• Meet teachers and support staff who will be part of their secondary school journey
• Experience lessons and activities that spark curiosity and enthusiasm
• Feel at home long before their official start date

We understand that every child is different, and not every activity will appeal to everyone — so you’re welcome to pick as few or as many sessions as you feel are right for your child.

For parents, the pathway provides reassurance and a smooth transition. You’ll have opportunities to visit the school, meet our team, and stay fully informed as your child prepares for secondary school life. This programme is completely free, optional, and designed with care to make the move to secondary school positive, supportive, and enjoyable.

Spaces are limited so that each child receives a warm, personal experience. We encourage you to select register early and give your child the chance to settle in, grow in confidence, and begin their secondary adventure with us feeling ready and excited.
