Ethnic Origin

We are required to record the ethnic origin of each pupil for the purpose of completing School census information. This will be shared with the Department for Education and the Independent School Council who gather statistical information about the make-up of schools. The legal basis for doing so is that it is considered necessary for reasons of substantial public interest. Please be assured that this information will not be passed on in any identifiable way. We will, however, store the ethnic origin of each pupil ourselves and may use this information for our own internal statistical purposes. TRIPS & ACTIVITIES CONSENT

Consent for trips and other onsite and off-site activities. At Dunottar we provide a varied and interesting programme of trips and activities, including visits from outside speakers which enhance, support and extend the learning experience of our pupils. In the past, schools were required to seek parental consent on each occasion. However, government guidelines now only require parents to sign a single consent form for all such trips and activities. You will be sent the trips consent form via emailed link to fill in and submit, which covers all trips, including those which may take place in the evening, at weekends or during holidays; travelling on foot or by public transport, coach, minibus or staff car (fully insured). Please note that you will be emailed prior to all trips. If you have any concerns regarding a trip/s please email info@dunottarschool.com
