Imagining the future with a budding generation of forward-thinkers

Earlier this year our Scholars invited Year 5 pupils from local junior schools to respond to a competition, asking what the world of Artificial Intelligence might look like in 2045.

We received a raft of imaginative ideas ranging from pillows with sensors, to ensure sweet dreams, to brain monitoring devices that help pupils stay focused.

“We were so impressed by the creative and imaginative format of the entries, ranging from a Beano style comic, to posters, a school prospectus, newspaper articles and diary entries; every child took a different approach, which was fascinating”.

Mrs Wintle – Head of Scholars’ Programme

Entries were judged by John Thornhill, Technology Editor for the Financial Times, with all participants invited to join the Scholars, on Friday 15th November, for an afternoon of fun challenges and activities and to collect their prizes.  One Year 5 pupil described this as her “best afternoon ever!”
