Pupils raise over £1,000 for Crisis at Christmas

Parents, staff, pupils and the Dunottar School community have raised over £1,000 for Crisis at Christmas, a charity that supports thousands of homeless people every year by helping them to rebuild their lives and supporting them out of homelessness.

Due to rising numbers at the Reigate based school, Dunottar held two carol services at St. John’s Church in Redhill. £1,173 for Crisis at Christmas was raised through a collection at the end of the services.

Mathematics teacher and head of fundraising, LucyAnne Chessell, said: “The weather is getting colder, and the school’s charity committee of pupils wanted to support those who don’t have anywhere to go. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.”
