Dunottar Pupils Make a Change

On Friday 7th February, students changed their uniforms for blue clothes, raising £190 to support UNICEF’s Day for Change.

Dunottar is one of thousands of schools across the country to take part in a range of fundraising activities to support this nationwide fundraising event. Day for Change is the brainchild of UNICEF, the world’s leading organisation for children and their rights. About 68 million children around the world do not have access to education. UNICEF is working to change this – it wants every child to have the opportunity to go to school.

Bethan Jackson, who held an assembly about the charity, commented: “We decided to run with blue as a themed colour because it is the UNICEF livery colour. UNICEF relies on voluntary donations, so fundraising events like Day for Change make a significant impact in helping children around the world to survive and thrive.”
