Co-curricular

The ability to try new things

While we would never understate the importance of traditional lessons, at Dunottar we are also mindful of the important lessons which are learnt away from the classroom and outside the curriculum.

The school years are a fantastic time to try out a wealth of different activities and we aim to give our pupils every opportunity possible to have interesting experiences, acquire skills, develop hobbies and, of course, to have fun!  We want our pupils to find things they love and which give them a sense of belonging but we also want them to challenge themselves, to be adventurous and try new things.

We hold a Co-curricular Fair at the start of the school year which allows pupils to find out about everything on offer at Dunottar so they can select those clubs that they would like to join.  With clubs covering music, art, drama, food, dissection, drones, sports, Lego robotics, and much, much more, there really is something for everyone.
