The Conservative Party politician, who has been representing the people of Reigate and Banstead in Parliament since 1997, took part in a lively question and answer session.

After a tour around the school by Headmaster Mark Tottman, pupils quizzed Mr Blunt in a lively question and answer session. Questions covered a variety of topics, including the UK justice system, LGBT rights, the importance of protecting Reigate’s greenbelt, the NHS, and his thoughts about how Brexit will impact young people in the future.

Mr Blunt said: “It was a very stimulating session in which the students asked a wide range of questions. They’re a very informed sixth form.”

Headmaster Mark Tottman commented: “We encourage a breadth of thinking and learning in our Sixth Form, and I was delighted that our boys and girls were able to question their local MP on topics which really matter to them. This was an excellent, stimulating and thought-provoking event. It was a great way for our Sixth Formers to finish off a busy and exciting first week of term.”
