Careers Advice - Life after Dunottar

As each girl passes through the Senior School we prepare her for the next stage. We want her to make well-informed choices, suited to the individual, about her future career direction. All girls are given help at appropriate stages through a structured programme of lessons delivered through special dedicated days and the PSHCE lessons. The girls use a variety of techniques to develop self awareness and decision making skills.

In the Sixth Form, in order to prepare the girls for the next stage of their education and for their career decisions, we run a well-planned programme with all the necessary information available in the well equipped Careers Room. The staff give advice on choices, application procedures and presentational and interview skills which include mock interviews. The majority of Sixth Formers at Dunottar go on to university but our aim is to help each student to choose the course or career that is best for her.
