Facilities
We are fortunate to have a beautiful neo-Palladian mansion at the centre of our school. The original Ballroom is used for small music groups, for informal concerts, for outside speakers and the occasional formal dinner. The Drawing Room is used for formal debates and Student Council meetings. Upstairs is our Careers Room, which the girls can use every lunchtime, and some of our smaller classrooms, mostly for Sixth Form teaching.
Other original buildings have been skilfully adapted for school use and we have modern purpose-built buildings. These facilities include:
- A Nursery and Junior School
- Sixth Form Centre
- Purpose-built science laboratories
- Computer suites
- Art and DT studios
- An indoor heated swimming pool
- A full size sports hall
The extensive grounds are truly inspiring – the younger girls can play in break times, there is a pond for ecological studies, tennis and netball courts and the Jubilee Games Pitch for lacrosse, rounders and athletics. We do feel fortunate that all our sports facilities are on site.
