Welcome

The Dunottar Old Girls’ Society is for all former students and staff of Dunottar School for Girls in Reigate. Our role is:

  • To help everyone keep in touch
  • Organise events
  • Provide news on developments and changes taking place at Dunottar
  • Fundraising for the school, including bursaries and gifts

Membership is £75 for life! All you need do is send us your email address so we can add you to the Members’ List and give you details of how to join.

What we do

The DOGS maintains regular contact with former students and staff of the School, and holds an alumni database of over 400 names. We organise and provide information on a wide range of events. If you wish to organise your own year-group reunion, we can help.

Joining

Joining Dunottar Old Girls’ Society is simple. If you wish to join the DOGS:

  • Please contact the Membership Secretary by email with your contact details
  • Membership costs £75 for life
  • Be assured your personal data is held in accordance with the Data Protection Act. If you have any further questions then please email us

Latest News and Events

We keep in touch with members giving them regular news about events, the school and the DOGS. We send an annual e-newsletter or an edited hard copy, the DOGS Newsletter, for those 'not connected'. The next edition will be issued in summer 2011.

(Please send us your email address, as this will enable us to significantly reduce postage and to keep you better informed.)

Missing Members

Inevitably, members’ details change from time to time. We should be grateful if you could please email the Membership Secretary and confirm your email and home address and remember to update us when you move house or change your email address (the latter is particularly important if you signed-up originally with a university email address).

Dunottar Members' Archive 1926-2010

Archived news of ex-pupils from 1926-2010 is available. This provides a fascinating insight into social changes over the course of many years, and the opportunity to recall perhaps long forgotten memories of friends.

Copies of the book ‘A Short History of Dunottar School’ can be purchased for £3 (plus postage). To buy a copy, contact Jill Twamley on 01737 762640 (while stocks last).

Get involved

We're always looking for new members of the Committee, so please let us know if you wish to join. (Meetings are once a term at the School, usually on a Thursday evening.)
