Gardening Club

Gardening Club is open to girls in Years 5 and 6.

Last year they planted bulbs in troughs and in the school grounds, entered a competition to design a garden and planted daffodils to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. They planted (and ate!) lettuces, peas, herbs, strawberries and broad beans in the Club garden, as well as growing sweet peas and other flowers from seeds collected last autumn. They have also grown tomatoes and peppers, taking them home to grow on and harvest. The Club is now looking forward to getting its own greenhouse so that the girls can grow even more!
