Community Links and Charities

Developing a concern for others is an important part of the education provided by Dunottar.

Every form in the Senior School chooses and supports their own special charity by organizing events ranging from cake sales to car washing, rock concerts to cross-country runs. Locally they have helped Brooklands and Clifton Hill Schools, for children with severe learning difficulties, while supported charities from further afield have included Guide Dogs for the Blind, Aquaboxes for disaster areas, SOS Children and the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. They raise large sums of money every year and have great fun while doing so. Older girls can also participate in schemes such as the Community Sports Leadership Award and Millennium Volunteers.
